Research Interest
The main research interest of Dr. Tian’s group focus on the theoretical modelling of the optical and electron transport properties of molecules confined between metallic electrodes. Areas we are currently working on include: scanning tunneling microscope (STM) induced light emission from molecules, electron transport properties of electric devices based on single molecules, modelling of surface/tip enhanced Raman spectra and images of molecules, and vibrationally-resolved optical and x-ray spectra of molecular systems. Dr. Tian has published 27 papers in prestigious journals such as Phys. Rev. Lett., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Phys. Rev. B, and J. Am. Chem. Soc. He was selected for the “Hundred Talent Project†of Hebei province in 2017
