Biography
Peifeng Niu received the Ph.D. degree from Northeastern University, Shenyang, China, in 1997. From 1998 to 2000, he did his postdoctoral research at Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. He has been with Northeastern University since 2005, and is currently as a Full Professor and Ph.D. advisor. He has authored and coauthored over 90 journal and conference papers. He was Excellent Young Professor Award of China in 2003, and was awarded National Excellent Postdoctoral Research Fellow Award in 2005, China. His current research interests are Fuzzy System Theory, Fuzzy Control, Neural Network-Based Control, Adaptive Control, Chaotic Control, Complex Industry Process Automation, Data-Driven Fault Detection, Electric Power System Automation, Motor Driving System Automation.

Fuzzy System Theory, Fuzzy Control, Neural Networks-Based Control, Chaotic Control, Adaptive Control, Data-Driven Process molding and control, Data-Driven Fault Detection, Complex Industry Process Automation, Electric System Automation, New Motor Design and Dragging System Automation.
