Biography

Dr. Antonio Trius served as the Chief Executive Officer of BASF UK Ltd., since January 2002 and served as its Member of Management Board. Dr. Trius served as the Chief Executive Officer of Cognis Benelux BV since January 2002. He served as Chief Executive Officer at BASF Personal Care and Nutrition GmbH until December 2010 and served as its Member of Management Board. He served as Chief Executive Officer of Cognis Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG until December 2010 and served as its Member of Management Board. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of Cognis GmbH from 2001 to 2010 and an Executive Vice President of Care Chemicals North America from 1999 to 2001. He served as a Vice President of Care Chemicals at Henkel KGaA from 1997 to 1999. He served as a Member of Management Board of Cognis UK Ltd. Dr. Trius served as a Management Board Member in charge of the Care Chemicals area, with regional responsibility at North America, when Cognis was founded in August 1999. He joined Henkel Iberica, where he served in product development/applications technology for organic chemicals. He served as Technical Manager of the Spanish chemicals subsidiary Pulera in 1986 and also served as its General Manager since 1992. Since 1997, he served as the Head of the Care Chemicals division of Henkel KgaA and a Member of the Management Board since 1998. He has been Director at Mauser Group B.V. since January 2017. He serves as a Non Executive Director of Azelis Peroxides S.a.s. He has been an Independent Director of Lonza Group Ltd since April 9, 2013. He has been a Member of the Board at Nubiola since 2011. He has been a Member of Supervisory Board at Altana AG since June 22, 2012. He served as Board Member of Henkel Iberica, where he was responsible for the chemical business in 1995. He holds Bachelor in Organic Chemistry from the University of Barcelona, PhD in Chemistry from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and PDD in Business Administration from the IESE Barcelona.
