He is professsor at Columbia University.
Research Interest
The Harrison lab is interested in all aspects of neuronal excitability and synaptic transmission with a focus on the role of ion channels in mediating changes in neuronal activity. We also have a special interest in neuronal responses to alcohol, in response to short-term exposure and the process of neuroadaptation to prolonged alcohol drinking. Our work uses behavioral, electrophysiological and molecular methods to study this problem in a mouse model of adolescent binge drinking.
