Biography
Julio is a Master of Finances (doctoral studies – 2004), University of Rochester; MBA (1984), University of Los Andes; B.Sc. in Political Science and B.Sc. in Economy (1979), University of Los Andes. Professor Villarreal teaches areas with emphasis on Financial Engineering, Risk and Financial Regulation. He is currently an Associate Professor and Coordinator of the Finance area in the Department of Industrial Engineering. He has also worked as a consultant in both the public and the private sectors, with more that 20 years of experience in public management, finance, risk, market value.
