Biography
Assistant Professor Abolghasem joined the department in 2015. She holds the following degrees: B.S. in Industrial Engineering, Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran. M.S. in Industrial Engineering, University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA, USA. PH.D. in Industrial Engineering, University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA, USA.
Research Interest
Sepideh Abolghasem primary research interests focus on application of operation research techniques to model the manufacturing processes. Her research integrates techniques such as statistical modelling and design of experiments to engineer materials characteristics. She is currently involved in statistical modelling of machining operations in order to manufacture custom designed final microstructures leading to desirable material properties with the application on implants components.
