Biography

Dr. Toshihiko Ezashi is a Research Assistant Professor, Department of Animal Sciences, The University of Missouri-Columbia. Dr. Ezashi is also experienced in working on the growth and differentiation of embryonic stem cells (ESC). His research on the use of low oxygen to culture hESC was recognized among the top 50 advances of 2005 by Scientific American. Establishment of pig and human-induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC) is a natural extension of his expertise, as many of the techniques are common to both systems.
