Biography
Dieudonne Kaimbo Wa Kaimbo is full professor of ophthalmology and biophics at the University of Kinshasa. He earned his medical degree at the University of Kinshasa and obtained a PhD in glaucoma in 1999 at the Catholic University of Leuven. He has conducted research on several epidemiological topics. His main research interest areas are: a) glaucoma, epidemiology of eye diseases, refraction and b) diabetes mellitus, uveitis. He has been supervisor for more than 20 MSC theses and 3 PhD theses at Universities. He is member of AAO, EVER, French and Belgian Ophthalmological Societies, and International Council on cataract and Refractive Surgery. He has published a large number of papers in peer reviewed scientific journals (more than 50). He has written 4 book chapters and has more than 80 communications, abstracts and posters.
