Dimitra L. Milioni graduated from the Department of Journalism and Mass Media of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) in 1998 and in 2006 she obtained her PhD from the same University. Since 2013 she is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Communication and Internet Studies at the Cyprus University of Technology.
Her current research interests focus on new and alternative media, online politics, e-communities and social movements.
