Biography
Lia-Paschalia Spyridou is Lecturer in Journalism and Media studies at the Department of Social and Political Sciences. She holds a PhD in Journalism and New Media from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and an MA in Communication from the University of Westminster. In 2012 she received a postdoctoral fellowship from Aristotle University for her research on participatory journalism. She has published among others in Journalism, Journalism Studies, Journalism Practice, European Journal of Communication, International Communication Gazette, and has participated in several research projects.
Research Interest
Her research interests lie in the fields of journalism, new media and democracy, alternative media and internet politics.
