"Marios Tzouvaras is a Research Fellow and member of the research team of Professor Diofantos Hadjimitsis at the Department of Civil Engineering and Geomatics. He received his MEng from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). He continued his studies at the Imperial College London and University College London (UCL) where he obtained his MSc Degree in Transport with Distinction. He is currently a PhD candidate in Transport Planning and GIS Applications. After the completion of his MSc Degree he was employed by Ove Arup International Ltd as a Transport Planner/Consultant at their London office. During his employment, he worked on the development of microsimulation transport models, transport assessment reports and risk assessment reports for various projects in United Kingdom and abroad where he obtained significant experience on using GIS for monitoring economical indices during natural disaster scenarios. Lately, he worked at an international contractor firm (J&P Overseas) as an Engineer for the construction of the Queen Alia International Airport terminal buildings, aprons, taxiways and runways in Amman, Jordan."
