Sotirios Chatzis is an assistant professor in the department of Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering and Informatics. He is presently woriking in Cyprus University of Technology.
His research focuses on statistical machine learning methodologies for data-driven modeling and discovery. Many fields of discovery – not only in the sciences, engineering, and medicine, but also in the social sciences and increasingly in the humanities – are transitioning from “data-poor” to “data-rich.” The ability to extract knowledge from vast amounts of data lies at the heart of 21st century scholarship.
