Biography

Having worked in pharmaceutical research for fifteen years I have acquired a wide range of practical laboratory skills, analytical interpretation and presentation skills. My scientific expertise is in molecular biology, genomics and genetics. Not only am I an expert in genetic analysis of somatic mutations, but I also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Most recently I have been developing diagnostics for the oncology portfolio. I am an experienced negotiator who is used to dealing with external account managers and outsourcing companies. I have successfully worked in multiple teams with the ability to motivate team members effectively. Career highlights include being a co-author on a recent publication in the Annals of Oncology on the co-incident of mutations in common oncogenes; training of key account sales managers for lung cancer drug Iressa, and management of the procurement of oligonucleotides for the AstraZeneca Alderley Park site.
