Biography

Prof. Wonkeun Song has received his Ph.D. in Chung-Ang University Graduate School, Seoul, Korea during the period of 2000. Currently, he is working as Professor, Department of Laboratory Medicine, Hallym University College of Medicine, Chuncheon, Korea. He has successfully completed his Administrative responsibilities as Associate Professor, Department of Laboratory Medicine, Hallym University College of Medicine, Chuncheon, Korea. He has authored 24 research articles. He is also Director of Department of Laboratory Medicine in Hospital.

Research Interest

1. Epidemiology, mechanisms, and detection methods of β-lactamase-producing Gram-negative bacteria: 1) Extended-spectrum β-lactamase  2) AmpC β-lactamase 3) Carbapenemase 2. Methods of antimicrobial susceptibility testing.
