Biography

Experienced food industry director specialising in food manufacturing, retail, innovation and quality. Currently holds a portfolio of roles as Chairman or Director of a diverse range of businesses including Chairman of Acoura Ltd, the UK's leading food supply chain certification and consultancy business, non executive Director of Boparan Holdings Ltd, the holding company of 2 Sisters Food Group, a major diversified UK and European food company supplying Poultry, Red Meat, Fish, Chilled, Bakery and Frozen products and non executive Director of British Retail Consortium Trading Ltd A strong interest in innovation and the science behind innovation, I am member of the Governing Council of the BBSRC which funds the key life sciences linked to the food industry and Chair of their Audit Board, Past Chairman of Trustees of the British Nutrition Foundation and a visiting professor in the Centre for Food Security at University of Reading.
