Biography
Clare is involved with evaluating new investment opportunities and providing strategic and operational support to existing portfolio companies as well as guiding the corporate development team. A particular focus has been Axel Johnson’s interests in the water and wastewater treatment sector. Prior to joining the group, Clare worked on the business side of the book publishing industry for 12 years, first for Random House Inc. and Random House UK and subsequently for The Perseus Books Group, in a variety of corporate development, business development, and operating capacities. Prior to her career in book publishing, she was a consultant for The Monitor Company in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and Amsterdam, The Netherlands, working across a diverse range of industries from animal health pharmaceuticals to the electronic provision of government benefits. Clare has an AB in Economics from Harvard and Radcliffe Colleges and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
