Biography

I am an analytical SSE / Bachelors microbiologist with extensive research and analysis experience: instrumental, physical, analytical, applied and inorganic. I am experienced in using a range of modern techniques including  My responsibilities include: • software, techniques and equipment to carry out research and analysis and interpret data • recording data in accordance to laboratory, H&S and governance guidelines • writing research papers, reports, reviews and summaries • maintaining own up to date awareness of all scientific and technical developments • preparing product licence documentation  • liaising and attending briefings with fellow research / scientific staff • developing new analytical methods • carrying out routine analysis involved in the development, optimisation and validation of analytical methods including the preparation of method validation protocols and reports • performing routine and non-routine testing on raw materials, finished products, in-process and stability samples using in-house methods • writing and reviewing protocols, reports and supporting of regulatory submissions with high quality analytical documentation • separation, identification, and quantification of the chemical components of materials under study • carrying out qualitative analysis to identity the chemical species in the sample, and quantitative analysis to determine the amount of key substance components • managing KPIs and monitoring quality, managing audits improvements and quality reporting • carrying out risk assessment, quality audits and ensuring that actions are completed on time • carrying out the required microbiological test on utilities, raw materials and products • ensuring that the stocks of all reagents and consumables required for testing in the QC are maintained at the appropriate level and within shelf life • preparing reviews of microbiological data as required to ensure that records are kept of all maintenance and calibration activities
