Clive Thompson

Biography

Clive is Chief Scientist at ALS Life Sciences in Rotherham and a Visiting Professor at Brunel University of London. He serves on a number ISO/CEN committees relating to Water Quality; Soil Quality; Sludge Quality; Environmental Characterisation and Nanomaterials     

Research Interest

Clive is a well known expert in the Environmental and Water testing industry in the UK having spent a considerable amount of his time over the last 20 years providing solutions to clients analytical challenges. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry; Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Water and Environmental Management; Fellow of the Institute of Food Science & Technology; Fellow of the Royal Institute of Public Health; Member of the Water Management Society and a Member of the Board of Trustees of the SCI, and a Board Member of the Fondation de la Maison de la Chemie He has published over 55 peer reviewed papers on a wide range of topics mainly relating to analysis and has a very wide range of contacts relating to food and water analysis.
