Erwin Gunst

Biography

Mr. Erwin Gunst, also known as Ernie, served as Chief Operating Officer and Member of Executive Board of SAP AG from July 1, 2008 to February 2010 and served as its Labor Relations Director from January 1, 2009 to February 2010. Mr. Gunst was responsible for SAP AG's operations and process efficiency. He was responsible for global human resources and labor relations, SAP internal information technology (IT), and the management of all SAP Labs worldwide. He served as Corporate Officer and Head of Field Operations of EMEA region of SAP AG since April 1, 2007 and also served as its President of Customer Solutions Operations of Europe, Middle East and Africa until July 1, 2008. From 1993 to 1999, Mr. Gunst served as Managing Director of SAP subsidiaries in Belgium, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. He joined SAP in May 1988, initially served as International Controller for SAP International in Biel, Switzerland. He has been a Director of AVAST Software s.r.o. since October 2012. He served as Director of Finance and Controlling since 1990. He served as an Audit Assistant at Touche Ross and later as a Financial Analyst with Telex Computer Products. He was Member of Supervisory Board at itelligence AG from May 27, 2004 to May 20, 2008. He was Member of Supervisory Board at SAP Systems Integration AG since May 22, 2003. Mr. Gunst holds a degree with distinction in commercial engineering from the Free University in Brussels. He speaks English, German, French and Dutch.
