Biography
Heather Read is an Associate Professor in the Departments of Psychological Sciences and Biomedical Engineering and director for a new core for “Brain Computer Interface”. Dr. Read, completed a PhD in neuropharmacology from Loyola University Medical School. As a post-doctoral fellow at Rockefellor and Rutgers University with Ralph Siegel, Dr. Read studied visual motion processing in parietal cortex of primates and later joined Christoph Schreiner’s lab at University of California at San Francisco to explore how sounds are processed by auditory cortices.
