Biography

Luis Mendoza is a medical doctor certified in clinical oncology with more than 18 years of combined clinical practice and hematology-oncology drug development experience. As a physician he has a large record with the treatment of bad-prognosis cancer patients with high-dose of chemotherapy and bone marrow transplantation. He worked for several years as a research member at the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic in the field of immunology-oncology. In academia he studied different types of anticancer vaccines and became an expert in the field of dendritic-cell based vaccines in experimental models. For the last 10 years he have held leadership positions in the CRO environment working in the R&D of generics and new anticancer compounds combined with medical responsibilities developing, design and conducting clinical trials in healthy volunteers and in cancer patients. I have a strong expertise in clinical pharmacology acquired after a record of more than 25 phase I clinical trials. He has overseen several oncology and non-oncology global drug development programs. Among other things, he has served as a Qualified Person for pharmacovigilance and authored and co-authored several publications in peer-review journals. He continues with his altruistic unpaid labour as a consultant for physicians or cancer patients from developed countries.
