L. Bartoníček

Biography

A graduate of the Czech Technical University in Prague, Faculty of Electrical Engineering. He joined PPF investiční společnost a.s. in 1991 as Executive Director and was awarded an MBA by the Rochester Institute of Technology, New York, in 1993. From 1996 till September 2006 he served as Chief Executive Officer of ÄŒeská pojišÅ¥ovna a.s. insurance company and till March 2013 as Chairman of the Board of Directors. In 2007 he was appointed the CEO and a member of the Board of Directors of GPH, one of the largest insurance groups in Central and Eastern Europe. He held his CEO position at GPH till March 2013. Currently he is a Chairman of the Supervisory Board of EPH and a member of the Board of Directors of SPP – Slovak Gas Company. Ladislav Bartoníček has been a shareholder of PPF Group, the parent company of SOTIO, since 2007. Ladislav Bartoníček joined SOTIO in December 2012 as Member of the Board of Directors.  As a member of the SOTIO Holding management team, he was in charge of business development and the company’s China operations. In March 2014 he was appointed CEO of SOTIO Group with responsibility for managing the company worldwide.
