Gastão Duval Neto

Biography

Gastão qualified as Professor of Anesthesiology from the Medical School of Federal University of Pelotas, UFPel, Brazil. He holds a PhD title by the Federal University of São Paulo, UNIFesp, Brazil. He served as President of the Brazilian Society of Anesthesiology (SBA) in the year 2000. He is the Chair of Professional Wellbeing Committee of the WFSA as well as the Brazilian Society of Anesthesiology, and the Chief of the Training Centre in Anesthesiology of Federal University of Pelotas in UFPel, Brazil. Gastão is the Editor of the 'Occupational Well-Being of Anaesthesiologists' book. Published in 2013 by the Brazilian Society of Anaesthetists, the publication brings together 17 papers from leading academics and practitioners concerned with the very real issues facing the health of anaesthesiologists around the world.
