Biography
Professor Mikael Skou Andersen of Aarhus University is a Danish academic in the field of comparative environmental politics and economics. Mikael Skou Andersen has over the past 20 years conducted a wide range of research projects addressing environmentally related topics within all the relevant subsectors, including air pollution, waste management, heavy metals, nitrate leaching, drinking water supply, waste water management and climate policy. Mikael Skou Andersen has been a member of the Danish government’s advisory committee on CO2 taxation, and has been an advisor on environmental taxation issues more generally to OECD Directorates and the European Commission. He contributed to the China Council for International Cooperation and Development, CCICED, task-force on economic instruments for energy efficiency prior to COP15.
