Biography
Dr. Claus Asbjørn Andersson, MSC, Ph.D. has been a Partner and Chairman of Norventum Capital A/S since March 2002. Dr. Andersson is a Partner in the Life Science group at Sunstone Capital A/S. Dr. Andersson is a part of the Life Sciences team and has been with the team since it was established. He focuses on medical technology, diagnostics, therapeutics, medical devices and biotechnology and is actively involved in maintaining the strong network. Since 2002, he has worked with investments at management level in European research projects in the areas of diagnostics, modeling and data analyses together with micro and nanotechnology. Since 1997, Dr. Andersson has worked in the industry with close contact to the universities focusing on Optics and Electro-Chemicals. He has extensive experience in strategy execution and technology development from various parts of the Life Science ecosystem: both as an entrepreneur, venture capitalist, scientist and corporate manager. He has been engaged with more than 18 companies and has held either chairing positions or board memberships. He serves as an Executive Director of Acarix A/S. Dr. Andersson is an Associated Professor at the University of Copenhagen in System Biology and Chemometrics, Multivariate Statistics and Modelling. He served as an Investment Director at Sunstone Capital A/S. He was Owner of Parsimoneous Holding ApS, Lantentix ApS, Sunstone LSV. He served as General Partner of BI ApS and Sunstone LSV General Partner I ApS. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of Sunstone TV (LSV) Special Limited Partner III ApS, Sunstone LSV Special Limited Partner III Holding ApS, Sunstone LSV Invest III Holding ApS, Sunstone LSV Special Limited Partner III ApS, Sunstone LSV General Partner III ApS, Sunstone LSV Invest III ApS and Abinitio ApS. Dr. Andersson focuses on quantification and monitoring systems and molecular level therapy and he offers know-how on new diagnostic technologies, product development, chemical engineering applications and managerial issues. He has an industrial track combined with four entrepreneurial ventures and 14 years of combined experience from industry, venture and acadamia. Previously, he served as an Investment Director at Vækstfonden and worked at the life science ventures group. Dr. Andersson served at VICIM BV and worked as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer. Prior to this, he was a Co-Founder of Brisense Innovation ApS. He served as Administrative officer at Asbjørn Andersson ApS. Dr. Andersson worked at Radiometer Medical A/S, where he served as a Research and Development Manager and started his industrial track. He co-founded Mind-Z BV and Equinostic ApS. Dr. Andersson has experience as a Board Member internationally in high technology start-ups having started companies in both Denmark and the Netherlands. He has full Board Membership in 16 companies and serves as the Chairman of five Boards. Dr. Andersson serves as Vice Chairman of the Board at Santaris Pharma A/S and has been its Director since 2010. He served as Vice Chairman of Roche Innovation Center Copenhagen A/S and served as its Director since 2010. He serves as a Director of FBC Device ApS. He serves as a Director of JenaValve Technology GmbH and has focus on medtech, diagnostics and molecular level therapy and offers experience on deal structuring, new diagnostic technologies, product development and chemical engineering applications

Dr. Andersson has been a Director of Cantargia AB (publ) since 2013. He served as a Director of Follicum AB (publ) since 2012 until June 15, 2017. He served as a Director of Sunstone LSV General Partner II ApS, ARO Medical ApS, Sunstone Capital A/S and Sunstone LSV Management A/S. He has been a Director at Acarix AB (publ) since 2010. He served as Director of Jurag Separation A/S. He is involved in technology associations, Member of Academic Advisory Boards, a Ph.D. Censor, Co-Editor of scientific journals and has published more than 17 peer-reviewed scientific publications. Dr. Andersson is an honorary Professor at the Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University in Copenhagen. Dr. Andersson holds a Ph.D. in Chemometrics and Multivariate Mathematical Statistics from The Humboldt University in Berlin (1997-2000); PhD in Chemometrics (Mathematical Statistics) from University of Copenhagen (1997-2000) and a M.Sc. in Civil Chemical Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark (1988-1994).
