Biography
Peter Clemmensen graduated as BS and MD at the University of Copenhagen, and currently holds joints positions as Professor of Cardiology, Associate Professor of Medicine and Chief Physician working mainly in Interventional Cardiology at Department of General and Interventional Cardiology, University Heart Center, Hamburg-Eppendorf, Hamburg Germany and Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology, Nykoebing F Hospital, University of Southern Denmark, Odense, Denmark. Previous President the Acute Cardiovascular Care Association. Past President of the Danish Heart Foundation. Professor Clemmensen has published over 300 scientific papers and chapters in international textbooks (N Engl J Med, Lancet, Circulation, Eur Heart J, J Am Coll Cardiol, Am Heart J, Am J Cardiol, Heart). The research has mainly been on assessment of reperfusion therapies in patients with ST segment elevation myocardial infarction, invasive cardiology, and antithrombotic therapies. Risk stratification in patients with ACS, including cardiac markers and electrocardiology.
