Biography
I have a MSc in computer science from Aarhus University, where I also obtained a PhD in physically based simulation of surfaces and fluieds. Mye PhD project treated the development of efficient algorithms for deforming large implicit surfaces that cannot be stored in the memory at the same time. Such surfaces and their deformation can be applied in many different areas from medical segmentation to simulation of fluids in both scientific computations and film effects. The project also included the development of algorithms for controlling fluid simulations. These algorithms enable a more efficient workflow for animators who create visual effects of e.g. floods and similar scenes for use in films. During my study, I was an intern at the visual effects company Digital Domain in Los Angeles where I worked on their fluid simulation software. After I graduated in the spring of 2010, I was employed at Unity Studios as a game programmer for a while.
