Biography
I work as a Senior IT Consultant in the Alexandra Institute’s Security Lab. I completed my PhD at Aarhus University where I specialised in location privacy. I have also been a postdoc at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, USA, where I worked on usable privacy and security. I therefore have thorough knowledge of the state-of-the-art in these fields. As we share more and more data about ourselves – passively or actively – security and privacy become increasingly important to all IT users. What drives me is the need to develop usable and understandable solutions to these often very complex systems. To do so, we need to involve the users and to take privacy and security into account throughout the entire design process. I have an MSc in software engineering from Aalborg University. Before I did my PhD, I worked for 18 months as a software engineer with Terma A/S – some of the time as a software team lead.
