Biography
I have a Master’s degree in computer science from Aarhus University in 1990 and a PhD in computer science from 1993, also from Aarhus University. I took part of my PhD programme at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. Since 2005 I have been employed at the Alexandra Institute, starting as research director then as deputy director. My work includes management, organizational development, strategic development and implementation, business development and sales. I act as sparring partner on research and innovation projects, matchmaking, strategic partnerships and handling of memberships. I started as an entrepreneur with the company IT+, which dealt with the "Advanced Java Technology". I sold the company to TietoEnator in 2001 and subsequently I worked for three years as Senior Vice President of TietoEnator with responsibility for the banking and insurance division in Denmark. With regard to research I have worked with machine learning and decision support systems with particular focus on neural networks, optimization and applied mathematics.
