Biography
I have a Master’s degree in anthropology from Aarhus University, supplemented with a degree in organisational communication from the University of Southern Denmark and a PRINCE2 certificate of project management As an anthropologist I am engaged in understanding how people interact with each other and with their surroundings. I am an experienced fieldworker and have worked with user studies in different contexts, focusing on every day practices in relation to energy consumption, energy savings, indoor climate as well as new and existing technology. This is unfolded in my work where I observe, engage and challenge users in different contexts understand the relationship between people and technology and how we might work to change it. I have extensive experience with user involvement and user driven innovation- and evaluation processes. During the past three years, I have participated in a number of national and international research and development projects within the domains of energy and smart city. The focal point of these projects is to identify how knowledge about people and practices can be used actively in the development of new technology to ensure usability and create sustainable solutions that make a positive difference in people’s lives.
