Rikke Steensbjerre Moller

Biography

Molecular geneticist, PhD, associate professor with special interest in epilepsy genetics. I have been working as head of the Genetics Group at the Danish Epilepsy Centre for the past 12 years. My work includes coordination of different ongoing national and international research projects, initiation of new projects and supervision of research active employees. Furthermore, I analyse genetic data and confer results of the investigations to the patients/families, the public and the scientific community. My research includes genotype-phenotype correlation studies, and identification of genes involved in neurodevelopmental disorders and epilepsy by the use of genome wide array platforms, direct sequencing, next generation sequencing or by cloning of disease genes using DBCRs (disease related balanced chromosome rearrangements).
