Biography

Ajit Singh, Ph.D., serves as a Partner and General Partner at Artiman Management LLC. Dr. Singh focuses on early-stage technology and life science investments. He is a Managing Partner/Partner of Artiman Ventures. He was a Managing Director at Artiman Management LLC. He is also a Consulting Professor in the School of Medicine at Stanford University. Dr. Singh has been associated with the Max India Group since January 2009. Dr. Singh is a promoter of Bio Medical Sciences innovation and advancement and led transformative initiatives inside large companies and as a start-up entrepreneur. Previously, Dr. Singh was the Chief Executive Officer and Director at BioImagene, Inc. since October 06, 2008 and August 2008 respectively and served as its President. He was Group Vice President of the e.health Business division where he was responsible for creating the infrastructure and processes for Siemens' electronic communications with customers and new e-business opportunities worldwide. He spent nearly 20 years at Siemens in various roles as the Chief Executive Officer of the Digital Radiology and Medical Informatics business of Siemens Healthcare. From 2001 to 2006, Dr. Singh served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Oncology Care Systems Group at Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc. Dr. Singh served as the President of Image & Knowledge Management Division at Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc. From 1996 to 2001, he served as Group Vice President of Siemens e-Health and Vice President of Siemens Health Services, where he led its Healthcare Information Technology business and Consulting Practice. Dr. Singh spent several years in research and development and academia. From 1989 to 1995, he served at Siemens Corporate Research in Princeton and was responsible for research in the areas of artificial intelligence, robotics, computer vision and image analysis. He served on the Faculty at Princeton University. He serves as the Chairman of CardioDx, Inc. He serves as Chairman of the Board of Core Diagnostics Private Limited. Dr. Singh has been a Director of CardioDx, Inc. since April 2012. He serves as Director of Sofie Biosciences, Inc. Dr. Singh serves as a Director of Aditazz Inc., medECUBE, Max Healthcare Institute Limited, Click Diagnostics and Oncostem. He served as an Independent Director of Max India Limited since February 1, 2013. He served as a Director of Max Financial Services Limited from February 01, 2013 to January 15, 2016. He has published two books and numerous refereed articles and holds five patents. Dr. Singh has a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Columbia University, a Master's Degree in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University and a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Banaras Hindu University.
