Biography
Dr. Steffen Thiel, Ph.D. serves as Chief Scientific Officer of Helion Biotech ApS. Dr. Thiel serves as Associate Professor at the University of Aarhus, Denmark. At Oxford, he worked in Professor Reids laboratory on the description of mannan-binding lectin, which led to the identification of mannan-binding lectin deficiency as a cause of immunodeficiency. He co-founded Azanta Danmark A/S in 2000 and serves as its Member of Scientific Advisory Board. He has more than 60 publications in major scientific journals. Dr. Thiel is a keen teacher at the University and has more than 130 publications in major scientific journals. Dr. Thiel did his Master's Degree work with Dr. Jensenius at the University of Odense.
