Biography

Katarzyna Mazur-Hofsaess, M.D., Ph.D., has been the President of Europe, Middle East and Africa Operations at Zimmer, Inc., since April 2013. Dr. Mazur-Hofsaess is responsible for the sales, marketing and distribution of products in the European, Middle Eastern and African (EMEA) regions. She has been President of Europe, Middle East and Africa at Zimmer Holdings, Inc. since April 2013 and served as its President of Emea Reconstructive since joining in February 2012. Dr. Mazur-Hofsaess has overall strategic and operational responsibility for the Reconstructive business across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. She serves as General Manager of European headquarters in Winterthur, Switzerland at Zimmer Holdings, Inc. She joined Zimmer in February 2010 as Senior Vice President, EMEA Sales and Marketing and was appointed President, EMEA Reconstructive in February 2012. She has more than 18 years experience within the pharmaceutical, diagnostics and medical device sectors. Prior to joining Zimmer, Dr. Mazur-Hofsaess served as Vice President of Diagnostics – Europe at Abbott Laboratories since 2001. Dr. Mazur-Hofsaess is a qualified Medical Doctor and also holds a Ph.D. from Gdansk Medical University in Poland, as well as an MBA from the Warsaw School of Economics and the University of Minnesota.
