Dr. Niels Christian Nielsen

Biography

 Dr. Niels Christian Nielsen created Catenas Inc., and serves as its President and Chief Executive Officer. Dr. Nielsen served as a member of the Management Board of the Danish Technological Institute. He was Investment Partner in 2M Invest since December 1999. He serves as Professor of Economics at Copenhagen Business School and a Visiting Scholar at the University of California at Berkeley. He served as the Chairman of 2M Invest A/S from May 1995 to December 2000 and a Board Fiskars Oyj Abp. He served as Vice Chairman at Danske Bank A/S until March 23, 2010. He serves as a Director of COWIfondation, COWI Rådgivende Ingeniører AS, Grundfos A/S, Grundfos Finance A/S, Grundfos Management A/S, Otto Mønsted Aktieselskab, The Poul Due Jensen’s Foundation and The Oticon Foundation, William Demants OG and Hustru Ida Emilies Fond. He serves as a Director of Development Alternatives, Inc., Quantumwise, Tooling Invest, Mingoville, Prophet, Jyllandsposten, Unimerco, Huset Mandag Morgen A/S, Hofman Bang and Learning Lab and a councilor of the Executive Committee of the National Council for Competency. He has been a Director of BioPorto A/S since March 16, 2016. Dr. Nielsen served as a Director of Danske Bank A/S from April 5, 1990 to March 2009 and also until March 2010. He served as a Director of The Poul Due Jensen Foundation. He served as a Director of 2M Invest A/S since January 1993. He served as Director of Codan A/S until July 9, 2007. Dr. Nielsen holds Ph.D. from Copenhagen Business School. He holds an MS in Philosophy and an MBA degree in Computer Science.
