While there are many views on industry trends and predictions, my top-three picks include   Convergence of ‘finance and lifestyle’ infused by digital technologies that will further blur the boundaries between industries, product lines and the ‘actual providers of services.’   As the financial services are being ‘unbundled,’ everything about the customer experience will change. The nature of the current ‘bundled’ model of banking is considered unfair.   The key risk for traditional institutions is that there’s no shortage of players from adjacent industries prepared to share critical assets to close the innovation gap. In terms of Technology trends there are hardly any conversations without a mention of Robotic process automation (RPA), Application program interfaces (APIs), Blockchain and, more recently, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity and Internet of Things (IoT.)
