Biography
Ana is the Head of the Lymphopoiesis Unit of the Department of immunology, at the Pasteur Institute, in Paris. Her laboratory is interested in stem cell biology and the development of the immune system. She has contributed to the characterization of subsets of hematopoietic progenitors in fetal liver, and to the description of the role of hematopoietic cytokines in lineage commitment. She identified newly generated hematopoietic stem cells, in the first hematogenic compartment, of the dorsal aorta.
