Biography
My research lies in the tradition of Global Political Economy with focus on international finance and international taxation. Currently, my research is on four related areas; financial innovation, international taxation, activism for economic justice and multinational corporate organisation. I was co-applicant and lead researcher for the recently completed Norwegian Research Council Grant no. 212210 ‘STEAL: Systems of Tax Evasion and Money Laundering’ 2012-2015. I am the co-author of European Commission Research Director General, Horizon 2020 Framework Program, - ‘Combating Fiscal Fraud and Empowering Regulators (#727145-COFFERS) 2016-2019. I lead the work Package ‘Corporate Form’ on this project. I am also a researcher on European Commission Horizon 2020, ‘ENLIGHTEN: European Legitimacy in Governing Through Hard Times’, Work Package 2 Fiscal and Financial Sustainability. Current projects in include a co-edited volume ‘Global Wealth Chains: Asset Strategies in the World Economy’ with Oxford University Press 2018 and a co-authored monograph, ‘Global tax Battles: The Fight to Govern Corporate and Elite Wealth’ with Oxford University Press 2018.
