Biography
" Much of my work considers issues of continuity and change in liberal market economies such as the US and UK. It draws upon, and is informed by, approaches associated with historical institutionalism. My most recent book considered neoliberalism, the impact of the economic crisis, and efforts to restructure the state and bolster civil society. I am currently writing about the contemporary populist surge and working on theories of the American state. I also publish commentaries on contemporary political issues and have given interviews to many media outlets including DR2, TV2 News, the BBC World Service, Politiken, Information and Jyllands Posten.
