Biography

Michel L. Pettigrew, MBA, has been the President of the Executive Board and Chief Operating Officer at Ferring Pharmaceuticals Inc. since November 14, 2016. Mr. Pettigrew serves as the President of Executive Board and Chief Operating Officer of Ferring Holding SA. He serves as the President of Executive Board and Chief Operating Officer at Ferring Pharmaceuticals Ltd. He serves as the President of Executive Board of Ferring B.V. and Ferring Pharmaceuticals SA. He serves as the President of Executive Board and Chief Operating Officer of Ferring Pharmaceuticals, oversees all sales, marketing and manufacturing activities around the world. Mr. Pettigrew joined the Ferring Group in May 2001. He had a 21-year career at Bristol-Myers Squibb. In 1980, he joined the global pharmaceutical company Bristol-Myers Squibb, where he worked for units in Canada and the USA as well as in Europe and Asia. Initially, his responsibilities were in Finance, but these rapidly grew to include full business accountability and served as General Manager of several subsidiaries in different parts of the world at Bristol-Myers Squibb. Mr. Pettigrew started his career in 1976 at Procter & Gamble Inc. in Canada, where he worked in various financial functions. In 2001, he moved to Ferring Pharmaceuticals, a privately owned research-driven specialty biopharmaceutical company. He serves as the Chairman of Ferring Pharmaceuticals Inc. and Ferring SpA. He serves as the Chairman of Ferring Holding Inc. He has been Non-Executive Director at Hovione FarmaCiencia SA since November 14, 2016. He serves as a Director of Bio-Technology General (Israel) Ltd., Ferring B.V., Ferring Pharmaceuticals B.V., Ferring Farmaceutyki SP Z.O.O., Ferring GmbH, Ferring Holding US Inc., Ferring International Center A.S, Ferring Pharmaceuticals Limited, Ferring Pharmaceuticals S.A., Ferring Pharmaceuticals, S.A de C.V., Ferring Portuguesa - Produtos Farmaceuticos, Sociedade, Unipressoal, LdaFerring S.A. de C.V., Ferring S.A.S and Ferring S.A.U. He served as a Director of Evolva Holding SA since 2007. He served as a Director of Affitech AS until April 29, 2010. He served as a Director of Farmaceutisk Laboratorium Ferring A/S and Ferring Lægemidler A/S. He served as a Director of Arpida AG (alternate name, Arpida Ltd.) since 2007. Mr. Pettigrew served as a Director of Pharmexa A/s since 2006. Mr. Pettigrew holds a M.B.A. from Schulich School of Business, York University in Toronto and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University in Montreal, Canada, where he also plays an active role with the McGill Desautels Faculty of Management Alma Matter.
