Biography

Jonathan D. Callaghan, also known as Jon, is a Co-Founder, Founding Partner, General Partner and Partner at True Ventures and has been its Managing Partner since January 2006. Mr. Callaghan is a Co-Founder, Founding Partner, Managing Partner, General Partner and Partner at True Ventures II, L.P. He founded Keep Holdings, Inc in 2010. Mr. Callaghan has founded three companies of his own and has a mighty track record of success in traditional venture capital investing. Mr. Callaghan has over 17 years of venture capital experience. He is an early stage venture capitalist and has been in the venture capital business since 1991. He has a long history with startups. He served as the Managing Director at Globespan Capital Partners; and Globespan Capital Management LLC. He served as a Managing Director at JAFCO Ventures, where he was responsible for several of its software and data center infrastructure investments. Mr. Callaghan joined CMGi's @Ventures group initially in 1996. He served as Managing Partner of @Ventures since 2001. He was employed at AOL's Greenhouse. He started his venture career as an Associate at Summit Partners LLP, where he focused on growth stage investments in the software industry. Over the next several years, Mr. Callaghan co-founded Chemdex Corporation. He Co-founded Mountain Bike Outfitters, Inc in 1986. He served as the Chairman of The National Venture Capital Association. He serves as a Director at Comparison Ventures, Inc. He has been Director of Fitbit, Inc. since September 2008 and serves as its Lead Independent Director. He serves as Director of 3D Robotics Inc. Mr. Callaghan has been a Director of Murj, Inc. since April 18, 2017. He serves as Board Member of Handle Financial, Inc. He has been a Director of Madison Reed, Inc. since April 29, 2013 and AK Networks, Inc. He serves as a Director of NoRedInk Corp.; NoRedInk, LLC and BrightRoll Inc. He served as Director of National Venture Capital Association since April 7, 2011 and also served as its Chairman. He serves as a Director of PayNearMe Inc. He served as a Director at NexPrise, Inc, Milo.com, Inc. and GX Media Inc. He served as Director of Asimba Inc. Mr. Callaghan served on the Boards of PingPin, Inc., scanR, Inc., KnowledgeFirst, Inc., Copan Systems, Inc , Ingrian Networks, Inc., Nominum, Inc, Plaxo, Inc, FilmLoop, Next Medium Networks, Vazu, Sigma Dynamics, Inc, SendMe, Inc., and Glu Mobile, Inc. He served as Director of DITTO.ME, INC. He served as a Director of MotherNature.com, Inc. He served as a Director of EXP Systems, Inc and Keep Holdings, Inc. Mr. Callaghan received an M.B.A. degree, with distinction, from Harvard Business School and a B.A. in Government from Dartmouth College.
