Biography
Prof. Jan G. J. van de Winkel, Ph.D. has been President and Chief Executive Officer of Genmab A/S since 2010. He is Co-founder of the Company and has previously served as its President, Research & Development and Chief Scientific Officer. Earlier in his career, he worked as Vice President and Scientific Director of Medarex Europe. Prof. van de Winkel has held professorship in Immunotherapy at Utrecht University.
Research Interest
He chairs the Board of Regenesance and serves as Member on the Boards of Directors of ISA Pharmaceuticals, Forward Pharma and Celdara Medical, as well as Member of the Advisory Board of Capricorn Health-tech Fund and Member of Scientific Advisory Board of Thuja Capital Healthcare Fund. Prof. van de Winkel holds Master of Science and Doctorate of Philosophy degrees from the University of Nijmegen.
