Biography
Stephen Swensen, MD, MMM, FACR, is the Medical Director for Leadership and Organization Development and Professor in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. He is a Senior Fellow at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement. From 2005 to 2012 he served as the Director for Quality and Associate Dean for Value at Mayo, and he chaired the Department of Radiology from 1998 to 2006. Dr. Swensen is past President of the Fleischner Society and the Society of Thoracic Radiology. He has been Principal Investigator of three National Institutes of Health grants and has authored two books and 138 peer-reviewed articles.
