Biography

Christopher Joseph Raymond, also known as Chris, serves as the Managing Director and Senior Research Analyst at Piper Jaffray Companies, Research Division. Mr. Raymond covers large cap pharmaceuticals and biotechnology sector as a part of the healthcare research team. Prior to this, Mr. Raymond was a Managing Director and Senior Biotech Analyst at Raymond James & Associates, Inc., Research Division till August 2017. He served as a Managing Director and Senior Research Analyst at Robert W. Baird & Co. Incorporated, Research Division till June 2015. Mr. Raymond joined it in May 2002 and covered biotechnology as a part of the healthcare and life sciences research team. He was a Biotech Analyst at Prudential Equity Group, LLC, Research Division. Previously, Mr. Raymond spent ten years at Baxter Healthcare and G.D. Searle, where Mr. Raymond focused on marketing oncology and cellular therapy products. He was also the Associate Director of Global Oncology Marketing at Pharmacia Corporation. Mr. Raymond serves as a Member of Advisory Board of Lundbeck Inc. He also serves on the advisory board of the Financial Markets Institute of the Eli Broad College of Business, Michigan State University. In 2014, Mr. Raymond was ranked by StarMine as the number one earnings estimator in biotechnology. In 2012, he was recognized by StarMine as number two earnings estimator in Biotechnology. In 2004, Mr. Raymond was named among the Best on the Street in The Wall Street Journal’s annual analyst survey, ranking number three in the biotechnology category. He received an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago and a B.A. from Michigan State University.
