Gidon Cohen

Biography

Gidon Cohen serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer at Highland Capital LLC. He founded Highland Capital LLC. in 1998 and Mr. Cohen served as a Mergers and Acquisitions Advisor at Paragon Pharmaceuticals, LLC. He is the Member of Advisory Board at Paragon Pharmaceuticals, LLC. Mr. Cohen served as an investment banker for 19 years BancAmerica Securities, Bear Stearns, and Smith Barney. Mr. Cohen served as a Senior Managing Director and Co-Founder of BA Partners and its predecessor Continental Partners Group, Inc. He served as a Senior Managing Director at BancAmerica Securities, BancAmerica Robertson Stephens, and NationsBanc Montgomery Securities. He has experience across a range of industries and has invested in companies such as Union City Body Company, Fast Web LLC, Pharmedium Healthcare, SRAM Corporation and Ovation Pharmaceuticals. He was also employed at Smith Barney. Mr. Cohen served as a Vice President in the Corporate Finance Department of Smith Barney and Harris Upham & Co. Mr. Cohen served as an Associate Director in the Corporate Finance Department of Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. LLC. He serves as a Member of the Advisory Board of Exact Data LLC, ConsumerBase LLC and Lundbeck, Inc. He serves as the Board of Blue Star Lubrication Technology, LLC. He has been a Director of SRAM LLC and SRAM International Corporation since 2003. He serves as Member of Advisory Board at Marathon Pharmaceuticals, LLC. He serves as a Member of Board of Advisors at Organ Worldwide LLC. Mr. Cohen served on the Board of Pharmedium Healthcare Corporation from 2003 to 2007. He has experience in mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, and general corporate finance experience, including corporate restructuring, buy and sell side assignments for public and private companies, defense advisory, leveraged acquisitions, fairness opinions and valuation work, and private offerings of equity and debt. Mr. Cohen holds a Master of Management from Northwestern University's J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa.
