Rajit Mehta

Biography

Rajit Mehta has been the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Max Healthcare Institute Limited since April 2015. Mr. Mehta is a founder team member of Max New York Life team. He is also engaged in leading an important transformation journey at Max Healthcare, including critical growth projects, enabling Max Healthcare to become a preferred Nursing employer, optimization of processes and establishing a strong culture of clinical excellence and patient centricity. He has made significant contributions in setting up and growing Max New York Life. He was a founder member of Max Life Insurance, since October 2000 and has been instrumental in helping Max Life become an admired, profitable and well run Company. During his tenure in Max Life, he undertook additional responsibilities as the Chief Transformation Officer which provided oversight on execution of key initiatives; designing and implementing new work systems; aligning key stakeholders; rationalising the cost structure to improve profitability; and laying down a comprehensive change management agenda. During this period, Max Life not only doubled its market share but seamlessly transited to a new brand identity. He was instrumental in building a strong cadre and ethos of Human Capital as the founder HR Director of Max Life by recruiting and retaining a strong management team, creating a positive work environment and culture and ushering "best-in-class" HR practices. Mr. Mehta served as the Chief Operating Officer of Max Life Insurance Company Limited since November 1, 2008. Mr. Mehta served as Deputy Chief Operating Officer of Max Life Insurance Company Limited since May 2008 and also served as its Executive Director of Human Resources Training and Internal Communications. He served as Director of Human Resources at Max Financial Services Limited. He served as Director of Human Resources at Max India Ltd. Mr. Mehta was responsible for strategic initiatives leading to the strengthening of Max New York Life's human resource management. He made important contributions to the development and implementation of Max Vijay, the innovative business model that fulfills the protection and savings needs of the underserved market. Mr. Mehta served as Director of Personnel at Bank of America. He effectively managed two of the most successful Exit Programs in the banking industry including the sale of Retail Operations to ABN AMRO bank. He has successfully led Bank of America's strategy to outsource its entire Personnel & Administration functions. He worked with HCL- Hewlett Packard. He has been a Director of Max Healthcare Institute Limited since April 2015. He has been a Non Executive Director of Max Life Insurance Company Limited since November 1, 2008. Mr. Mehta is a graduate in Commerce, post graduate in Human Resources and has also attended an Advanced Management Program at INSEAD - France. He is the recipient of the Chairman's Award for Excellence at Max Life Insurance.
