Johan Selmer

Biography

Johan Selmer joined MC2 Therapeutics in 2016 from a position as Senior Medical Scientist at LEO Pharma A/S. He brings more than 30 years of pharmaceutical R&D experience to the company. He started his career as clinician in the areas of internal and infectious medicine. Johan later spent more than twenty years at Novo Nordisk A/S in different managerial positions with responsibilities for both preclinical and clinical aspects of drug discovery and ended working for a number of years as corporate vice president with portfolio responsibility for the development and progression of all non-insulin related diabetes projects until clinical proof of concept. Subsequently, Johan worked five years as Senior Vice President for Research and Development in Transtech Pharma Inc., a US based pharma company. Johan is inventor of a variety of patents and is the author of several publications with both preclinical and clinical scope.
