Biography
Michael is 55 years old, originally from and still living in Virum, Copenhagen. He commutes to Aarhus a few times a week. With a degree in microbiology from Technical University of Denmark from 1986, who would have guessed that Michael would end up earning an IBM-sponsored degree in Business Management from Bocconi University in Milan and working for IBM for 25 years. Michael ended up in IBM “by accident”. He was considering a PhD, but wanted to try the whole “EDP thing” first in 1986. He ended up staying in that industry. Michael’s IBM resumé goes like this: Account Manager, then 3 years abroad as Selected International Account Manager in Brussels, Belgium, Sales Manager, Nordic Sales Operations Executive, Director, IBM Business Partner Organization. Nordic, and then assignment as Director, Global Marketing Programs based in Somers, NY, USA, before returning to Europe as Director, Distribution Channels Marketing, Director, Techdata Europe, Director, Distribution Sales NE Europe, Director, Business Partner Organization, IBM Nordic, and Director, Cloud Computing, IBM Business Partner Organization. Wow, right? The past five years he spent with Pedab Group where he was responsible for strategy business development and Pedab’s international expansion. Now he is with Mjølner! He chose Mjølner because we bring diverse capabilities in play to create really exciting projects. Michael loves the dynamic at Mjølner where UX consultants, designers, and developers sit together in the same room and work on projects as a team and across professional competencies. Michael’s job is to create alliances and partnerships so Mjølner can do what Mjølner does even more. He tries to create and structure partnerships. In other words, Michael creates business opportunities for Mjølner. Michael’s job is to create alliances and partnerships so Mjølner can do what Mjølner does even more.
