Peter Ekner

Biography

 Peter Ekner is CTO at Napatech and manages the team that is located in Copenhagen. Peter oversees Napatech’s existing product portfolio, as well as ensuring that product strategies are in line with market requirements. Peter has more than 15 years of experience working with design of products and components for network equipment. Prior to his current role, he served as FPGA development manager at Napatech from 2007. Peter has extensive knowledge of how to develop complex technical products from various engineering related positions in start-up companies and large corporations. Prior to joining Napatech, he worked as an ASIC specialist on a disposable medical infusion device for a Danish healthcare company. Previously, Peter held key technical positions in two start-up companies working with backplane switching technology and Free Space Optics (FPO) communication technology. From 1997 to 2004, Peter held various positions at Intel in Denmark and in San Diego, CA, United States. He worked on ASICs for Intel’s Express Switch product family and he was part of the team responsible for the IEEE 802.3 Wi-Fi component of the Intel Centrino brand. Peter Ekner holds an M.Sc. in electrical engineering from the Danish Technical University.
