Biography

Mr. Per Falholt has been a Consultant at Novozymes A/S since February 8, 2016. Mr. Falholt is the Founder of Per Falholt Global R&D Advisory Services A/S. He serves as Scientific Consultant of Corbion, the Netherlands. He serves as Member of Executive Board at DHI, Denmark. He served as the Executive Vice President of Research and Development at Novozymes A/S from February 2000 to February 8, 2016. He served as Global Manager of Novozymes R&D, Denmark from 2000 to 2016. Mr. Falholt joined Novozymes in 1984 as a Research Chemist in the Enzyme pilot plant and served as its Chief Scientific Officer. Mr. Falholt was appointed as a Manager of the Detergent Enzyme Division in 1987 and as a Director responsible for the application and development of new products for the detergent industry in 1990. He served as Senior Vice President, Enzyme Development and Application at Novo Nordisk from 1998 to 2000. He joined the Enzyme Development and Applications division in 1995 as a Director for Application Technology II before moving to Raleigh to run the EDA unit in 1997. In 1999, Mr. Falholt was appointed as the Corporate Vice President with responsibility for Enzyme Development and Application (EDA). He was appointed Corporate Vice President of corporate research and development with effect from May 1, 2000. He has been Director of Danfoss A/S since 2017. He serves as Chairman for ATV Science and Engineering project, Denmark. He serves as Vice Chairman of DHI, Denmark. He serves as Board member of Cytovac A/S, Denmark. Mr. Falholt serves as a Director of ARTS Biologics A/S and Asseco Denmark A/S. He served as Member of Danish Research Political Council, Danish Government from 2011 to 2013. He served as Honorable Professor at Systems Biology at Technical Universty of Denmark (DTU) from 2010 to 2015. He serves as Chairman of the Board of Governors, Technical University of Denmark (DTU). Mr. Falholt is a Member of Advisory Council of Emerald Technology Ventures AG and also serves as a Director of IT Practice A/S. His competencies include IMD (International Institute for Management Development), Special Project, Lecturer, Business programs at IMD and Novo Nordisk Executive leadership program. He also worked at the Technical University of Denmark. Mr. Falholt holds an M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from Technical University of Denmark in 1983.
